At the age of 15, Dan Polari discovered his passion for photography, a pivotal moment that would shape his future endeavours. Over time, he explored various genres, honing his skills in indoor shoots, modelling, branding, food, architecture, events, and fashion photography. During his university years, Daniel combined his growing expertise with his love for forró events, capturing their vibrant essence through his lens. He also expanded into videography, using his creative vision to direct and craft compelling narratives.
A transformative chapter in Daniel's journey came during an exchange program in Europe, where he studied Fine Arts photography at Porto University. There, he delved into the history of photography, mastering techniques such as film photography and film development. This experience deepened his appreciation for the art form and broadened his technical skill set.
Recognizing the power of audiovisual storytelling, Dan integrated his knowledge of applied sciences, design, art, culture, and innovation to create impactful visual narratives. Alongside his artistic pursuits, he pursued a career in marine biology, conducting ground-breaking research on medically important cnidarians, consciousness, and the effects of psychotropic substances on vertebrates. His work significantly contributed to marine mammal monitoring and the conservation and protection of marine life, showcasing his ability to bridge science and creativity.
In the realm of entrepreneurship, Dan leveraged cutting-edge technology to enhance the efficiency and sustainability of face masks, making meaningful strides in public health and environmental sustainability.
